One of Brian’s Favorite Quotes
Men are the only animals that devote themselves, day in and day out, to making one another unhappy. It is an art like any other. Its virtuosi are called altruists.”

Obama Is Destroying Mitt Romney In Wisconsin Recall Exit Polls
Exit polls show Obama leading Romney 54 percent to 42 percent among Wisconsin voters. Even more significantly, 45 percent of voters said Obama would be better for the economy, compared to 37% who thought Romney would be better.
That’s a much bigger spread than recent Wisconsin polls have shown. The Obama campaign even put Wisconsin on its list of key battleground states this week, as Republican Gov. Scott Walker has withstood tonight’s recall election.
But the exit polls indicate that tonight’s results may not have much of a bearing on Obama’s chances in Wisconsin this November.
The bigger story involving Obama in Wisconsin, though, has been his involvement — or lack thereof — in campaigning with Walker’s Democratic challenger, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
David Schecter, the chair of the political science department at California State University Fresno who has studied the other two successful recall elections extensively, told Business Insider that Barrett or Democrats may have actually planned Obama’s lack of involvement.
“Only internal polling would tell the Barrett campaign if Obama is a help or hindrance for Tom Barrett,” Schecter said. “They might have found that it would be in Barrett’s best interest for Obama to stay away.”
“It’s kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation,” he said.
