Joss Whedon hints Avengers will get ‘torn apart’ in Age of Ultron
Joss Whedon teased Marvel fans after hinting that the Avengers could be “torn apart” in Age of Ultron.
The director has kept things vague after revealing there is a “thin wall” between unity and “chaos” between the comic book superheroes.
He told Marvel:”There are two things you really want to see, I think, in the second Avengers.
“You want to see them getting along, and you want to see them not getting along.
“What we find is they can get along great, they’re a team, but it’s a thin wall between that and chaos. They do get kind of torn apart a little bit.”
Whedon also opened up about casting Paul Bettany as JARVIS and the Vision and admitted it was always part of his plan for the series even before he realised he’d be making a second film.
He added: “When I first started talking about doing an Avengers movie, I was like ‘I don’t know whether I should do an Avengers movie but if you do a second one the villain should be Ultron and he should create the Vision and Bettany has to play it.

“I was like, ‘look at those cheekbones, Bettany’s the vision’. He has a stillness that goes beyond British, that is something unique and emotive, and he’s going to blow people away.”
Earlier this month, we saw the difficulties the team could face as Tony Stark tried to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program with horrific consequences.
